Genesis

Kendriya Vidyalaya Banbasa Cantt is located near the Nepal border of Champawat district in the defense sector, In Army Cantt, Banbasa. This K.V is running in temporary building provided by Army cantt.
It came into existence from Class 1 with a section in each class in 1982, gradually it increased to Class X and the first batch of X Class students appeared for the Board exam in 1988. Strict Need for Quality Education of the People of Defense, Central Government Employees and the floating population of the area became a double section school by class XII with science and commerce streams. With the pressure of entry load in +2 streams, KVS officials have allowed science, commerce and humanities streams at +2 levels.
